Description: This quilt was made specifically for the use of the YLI Corporation as an example of an item created using their thread. The multi-colored striated background (one-of-a-kind) is a whole cloth (one piece of fabric) with a folded-edge curved appliquéd border. The confetti shapes are original embroidery designs created by the artist specifically for this quilt, sewn using a Pfaff 7570 sewing machine. Little pieces of white (unpainted) fabric were placed in the motifs part-way through embroidering them for a slight dimensional effect. The background was quilted around the confetti shapes with a free-motion random doodle pattern using a zigzag stitch. Also embroidered on the front of the quilt is the YLI logo and artist’s signature. Due to the nature of the fabric paints, this quilt is soft, colorfast, as well as fade resistant. Hangs straight and flat.
